Brawner Hall

In 2009, the City of Smyrna returned an historic local landmark to full functionality. Brawner Hall opened as a mental health hospital in 1910, but the facility had stood vacant since the 1990s. After a complete rehabilitation involving selective demolition and reconstruction, the two-story Greek Revival style facility now provides office space for two City departments, training classrooms, and a stately reception room for special events.

The reception room is available for rent and can accommodate 85-95 guests. It features hardwood flooring, a well-equipped warming kitchen, built-in sound system, and a display screen for audiovisual presentations.

Featuring a grandiose symmetrical facade and soaring columns, the building provides a stunning entrance to your extraordinary event. Once inside, you and your guests are only steps away from the hall’s stately reception room.

During the day, Brawner Hall’s reception room is flooded with soft natural light streaming through lovely plantation shutters. At night, a combination of recessed lights and decorative brass fixtures create a dramatic effect. Ceiling fans and hardwood floors are an elegant frame for any event.

The reception room setup includes 48-inch round tables with seating for six in high-back, fabric-covered chairs. It can accommodate 85 guests with an area for dancing or 95 without.

Also available are a built-in sound system, an LCD display for audiovisual presentations and a well-equipped warming kitchen.
